Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM (2025-26 School Year)

Primary function: Participate in activities with children to enhance their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. Work with infants, toddlers, preschool, and school age students.

Essential duties & responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with daily activities.
• Ensure the safety of children.
• Follow childcare licensing guidelines.
• Conduct activities that contribute to the care, growth, and development of children.
• Greet parents and provide positive feedback.
• Maintain regular and predictable in-person attendance.
• Support the OCS vision and mission.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED, required.
• Experience or desire to work with preschool and school age children.
• Ability to interact positively with students, parents, and staff.
• Knowledge of basic physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of young children.
• Alternative qualifications acceptable as determined by the Board.

Starting hourly pay rate: $14.61 - $19.48 per hour based on education and the 2025-26 OELC Salary Schedule
