Building Substitute

St. William Catholic School is seeking a caring, dependable, and flexible building substitute to support students and teachers in kindergarten through eighth grade. Rooted in Faith, Family, and Learning, our school provides a Christ-centered, inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to grow.

This position includes serving as a classroom paraprofessional and stepping in as a substitute classroom teacher as needed.

• Provide individual and small-group support to help students participate in classroom learning.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities, routines, and student supervision.
• Support students with diverse learning needs in collaboration with classroom teachers and student support staff.
• Serve as a substitute teacher when needed, following lesson plans and maintaining classroom expectations.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful learning environment.
• Adapt to changing assignments and work collaboratively with staff across grades K–8.
• Support the Catholic mission and values of St. William Catholic School.

• A teaching degree is preferred.
• Experience working with elementary or middle school students is desirable.
• Patience, flexibility, and a caring approach to working with children.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
• Dependability and a willingness to serve wherever support is needed.
