Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

EXCLUSIVE TO CHROMA: Due to continuing expansion, a globally recognised engineering firm are looking to grow their design team. As part of this growth, they are looking for a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to take ownership of the full design lifecycle and become a subject matter expert for their division.

The successful Principal Mechanical Design Engineer will operate in multi-functional project teams and be tasked with leading cutting-edge design projects. Key duties include client liaison, concept design, 3D / 2D CAD, calculations, test & validation and overseeing your work into build and commissioning. As a Principal level engineer, you will also become a subject matter expert for your product group and will get to mentor the more Junior/Graduate Engineers.

Principal Mechanical Design Engineer requirements

• Degree level in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
• Experience in a similar position designing capital machinery / fabrications (or similar)
• 3D CAD Creo or Solid Works (or similar)
