Job Description

We are looking for an energetic and dynamic person to join the E&B Systems Team. This is a permanent role within our development team.

The role will give you the opportunity to experience a wide variety of work and develop widely transferable skills. You will support and deliver technical digital solutions to address business problems and support major digital transformation. You will help our regulatory work and build solutions to support staff in their front‑line work.

We expect a flexible individual who manages themselves and can lead on technical development areas and solutions. The team focusses on regulatory services and technical solutions, supporting the work of the Environment Agency. You should be comfortable working in dispersed project groups.

The team is a dispersed, flexible resource working across digital and business activity areas. We provide digital product development and configuration services, a support service to Operations staff covering our business systems and technologies, and we contribute to cross‑cutting and high‑risk projects. We deliver innovative, integrated outcomes, connecting the business to the IT required to deliver benefits for the environment. We play a critical intelligent client role in digital IT services and operational activities.

• Digital product management experience or expertise as an environment practitioner.
• Comfortable with tools such as Power Platform, SharePoint, DCP (Document Core Pack), Canvas Apps, Microsoft Access and application configuration.
• Strong technical skills, alongside the ability to convey that understanding to non‑technical clients.
• Capability to collaborate with customers and build sustainable partner relationships.
• Understanding of business problems and the challenges faced by staff, and ability to think innovatively to develop solutions.
