- Lead ongoing development, governance and operational management of the Science Asset Management System as product owner and service lead
- Coordinate implementation, migration and organisation-wide rollout across field, laboratory and science teams
- Develop and maintain scientific asset governance processes covering lifecycle management, maintenance, calibration, risk assessment and disposal
- Improve asset data quality, reporting and audit readiness
- Manage the supplier relationship, including service performance, change requests, roadmap development and contract governance
- Deliver reporting, analysis and continuous improvement supporting operational planning, compliance, financial accountability and strategic investment decisions
- Collaborate with the Science Director for National Capability and Digital Research, Head of Estates and Workplace, FDRI team, field and laboratory managers, digital research, finance, procurement, scientific leaders and external suppliers
- Experience managing, owning or delivering a business-critical operational system, digital product or service
- Understanding of asset management, maintenance planning, calibration processes, fault management or equipment governance
- Ability to translate complex user needs into structured requirements, workflows, system improvements and service priorities
- Experience coordinating system implementation, testing, migration, user training, adoption and continuous improvement
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong analytical capability, including reporting tools, dashboards, data exports or similar methods
- Experience with CMMS, EAM, CAFM, asset management, maintenance or inventory management systems (helpful)
- Familiarity with SharePoint-based document management (helpful)
- Experience supporting audit, compliance, quality assurance, health and safety or ISO-related processes (helpful)
- Knowledge of product ownership, Agile delivery, service management or business change methodologies (helpful)
- Experience in scientific, technical, laboratory or field-based operational environments (helpful)
- Understanding of asset lifecycle costing, depreciation, capital planning or risk-based asset management (helpful)

Demonstrates expertise in managing and improving operational systems, with a focus on asset management, governance processes, and stakeholder collaboration. Proficient in translating user needs into actionable requirements and ensuring compliance with audit and quality standards.
