Facilities Operative

Our client, a reputable organisation near Wallingford, Oxfordshire is hiring a Facilities Operative to join their team. This role offers a great opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of a busy site, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely.

• Carrying out general maintenance tasks, including basic repairs and equipment upkeep
• Supporting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
• Responding to reactive maintenance issues promptly
• Monitoring site services and equipment for safe operation
• Assisting with safety checks, hazard identification, and reporting
• Supporting waste management and site cleanliness
• Assisting contractors when needed
• Maintaining tools and equipment in good condition
• Acting as a keyholder, conducting daily site checks and shutdowns
• Participating in 'Out of Hours' response team duties
• Supporting additional tasks as directed by Senior Management

• Practical experience in a maintenance or hands‑on environment
• Basic understanding of health & safety practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically capable of manual tasks (lifting, bending, etc.)
• Full clean driving licence
• Competent with electrics (advantageous but not essential)
• Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
