Are you a CNC Turner looking for a new opportunity? I am recruiting for a well-established precision engineering company based in South Oxfordshire, delivering high-quality manufactured components and engineering solutions to customers across a range of industries. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to join the team.
The Role
As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for setting, operating, and programming CNC lathes and machining centres to produce high-precision components. You will work closely with the manufacturing team, ensuring all products meet exact customer specifications and stringent quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting, operating and programming CNC lathes and machining centres
- Producing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Using metrology and inspection equipment to verify component quality
- Carrying out manual machining operations where required
- Selecting appropriate tooling and machining methods
- Ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards
- Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience as a CNC Turner
- Experience with Fanuc controls
- CAM programming experience
- Ability to programme both offline and at the machine
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings
- Experience using inspection and metrology equipment
- Manual machining experience
- Ability to work to tight tolerances and demanding surface finish specifications
- Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail
