Job Title: Registered Veterinary Nurse

Location: Wallingford, Oxfordshire

Working Hours: We have a varied caseload, and the role includes general nursing duties, anaesthesia, radiology, ultrasonography, and hospital inpatient care as we are a 24-hour emergency care provider. The role is a 30-hour week over 4 days with 6‑8 hour shifts, 1 in 5 weekends Saturday and Sunday with TOIL for weekends worked. There is no out‑of‑hours work as we have a dedicated night team who cover this.

Bank holidays are on a rota basis.

Salary: Up to £33,000 FTE

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals.
• Conduct surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries.
• Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
• Provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness.
• Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.

Qualifications and

Skills Required:

• Veterinary degree from a recognised institution.
• Valid veterinary licence to practice in the UK.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Compassionate and caring approach to animals.
