Collaborate with teachers to deliver individualized services and support. Monitor student behavior, track educational progress, communicate with parents, and reinforce learning and skills through our proven model.
Responsibilities- Provide instructional coaching and staff development to certified staff.
- Mentor DSAP teachers and support them in professional development and compliance expectations.
- Offer targeted support to LTS teachers during vacancies or transitions.
- Provide real‑time feedback to Assistant Teachers and 1:1 instructional staff.
- Model effective instructional strategies with a focus on supporting LTS staff.
- Serve as lead teacher when a classroom vacancy exists, ensuring instructional plans are followed and student needs are met.
- Assist in lesson planning and delivery aligned with IEP goals and academic standards.
- Support administration of state and internal assessments.
- Assist with student performance data collection and analysis to inform instruction and IEP development.
- Collaborate with the School Director to complete ACI and SPC documentation and responsibilities.
- Monitor and promote instructional practices aligned with compliance expectations under state guidelines and outplacement policies.
- Provide instructional leadership at up to three school sites and work onsite each day per Regional Director‑approved schedule.
- Collaborate with school teams and leadership to strengthen instructional programs and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with staff, families, and service providers to support student achievement.
- Participate in team meetings, instructional leadership meetings, and professional development.
- Communicate regularly with the School Director regarding programmatic needs and progress.
- Master’s degree in special education required (valid 092 certification acceptable in lieu of an advanced degree).
- Valid teaching certification required.
- Experience supporting DSAP teachers preferred.
- Demonstrated success in instructional coaching or staff mentoring roles.
- Knowledge of state and federal special education laws (e.g., IDEA, Section 504).
- Experience with data‑driven instruction, assessment practices, and compliance documentation.
Starting from USD $60,000.00 per year.
Physical Requirements- Ability to run short distances and move swiftly in response to student needs, including bending, kneeling, and crouching.
- Ability to lift and assist students with mobility challenges, handling up to 50 pounds or more.
- Skill in managing fine motor tasks, such as helping students write, manipulating small objects, or using adaptive devices.
- Ability to operate a computer or tablet for up to 8 hours daily.
- Capacity to notice and respond to non‑verbal cues from students.
- Capacity to remain calm and composed during physically and emotionally demanding situations, ensuring student safety and well‑being.
