Software Engineer

Protein Simple is part of the Protein Platforms division of Bio-Techne (NASDAQ: TECH). We are rethinking protein tools and helping thousands of researchers around the world resolve their protein analysis problems so they can reveal new insight into proteins and their role in disease.  Software is a key component in developing award winning bio-tech instruments for the life sciences industry.

We are seeking a curious and driven software engineer to work with state-of-the-art software/hardware technologies amongst a very creative, motivated, and talented team. Use your strong knowledge of software engineering to expand the capability of our instrument and enterprise systems. You will collaborate with other software engineers and scientists in the development of analytical applications, enterprise business applications, working on design of graphical data presentations, algorithms, device communications, and complex data workflows.

* Required Qualifications:

** 2–5 years of professional experience developing commercial or enterprise software.

Familiarity with software design patterns (MVC, MVP, MVVM). Solid data analysis skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

* Preferred qualifications:

** Experience with web technologies: ASP.NET, Entity Framework, SQL, No

SQL, Blazor, Microservices, Java script, HTML, and CSS.

Experience with desktop applications:
Win Forms, WPF, .NET MAUI. Familiarity with Java, Python, and other trending programming languages Familiarity with Windows and Windows Server environments. Cloud experience with Azure or AWS. Experience using Generative AI tools (e.g., Git Hub Copilot, Claude) in development process.

Experience with GMP/21 CFR Part 11 compliant software. Experience working in an ISO 13485 environment Experience interfacing with instrumentation, digital protocols, cameras, and motion control systems.
