HSE Inspector

Position: HSE Inspector (Contract)
Our client is a leading steel fabricator servicing the offshore industry and due to recent projects won they now require an HSE Inspector for at least 6-8 months.

The Role

To work alongside production & quality to get general ownership of the safety standards within the work area.
Someone who can show innovation and bring new ideas into the organisation, who can make proposals and then act to implement those ideas
Hands-on role - you'll be based in an office in a fabrication hall alongside the Supervisors
The aim is to change behaviours and build a culture around HSE
Refer non-compliance to HR if required.
You'll oversee the supervisors and the workforce from an HSE perspective
Liaise with the client, be involved in weekly joint client inspections, produce reports and action trackers.
Incident investigation, writing investigation reports
Generally improve HSE standards and behaviours

The Person

Ideally have experience of policing HSE in a fabrication environment
NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum
Good experience of report writing
Qualified to at least HNC level
