Experienced Tax and Accounting CPA or CPA

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate with public accounting and tax experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax and accounting principles and practices. As a CPA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and providing strategic financial advice to clients.

What We Are Looking For

• Manage a portfolio of clients, varying in size and needs, acting as their primary contact.
• Understand clients’ businesses and industries, advising on the financial implications of their decisions.
• Build strong partnership relationships with clients.
• Provide tax compliance and advisory services to partnerships, corporations, S-Corps, and individuals.
• Complete and review tax preparation documents.
• Advise individual and family clients on estate, trust, and gift planning.
• Lead technology innovation initiatives for the firm.
• Collaborate effectively with partners and staff.
• Participate in and contribute to new business activities.
• Show initiative to advance client relationships and improve the firm.

The Right Candidate Will Possess

• CPA license with a BS in Accounting/Finance or related field. CPA candidates will also be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting.
• Experience servicing a broad range of industries and multiple clients.
• Strong tax research, interpretation, and application skills.
• Excellent analytical and accounting skills.
• Proficiency with accounting and tax software, including Quick Books, Lacerte, and PC-based programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Proficiency in business technology solutions.
• Desire and potential to succeed and potentially take ownership of a practice.

• This is a full-time, in-office position located in downtown Walnut Creek, California.
