Job Description & How to Apply Below

Join to apply for the Senior Accountant role at 2GO Advisory Group

2GO Advisory Group is growing its Client Accounting Services team and looking for a sharp, hands‑on Senior Accountant who wants more than routine debits and credits. You will join a fast‑moving outsourced accounting practice that supports high‑growth companies, nonprofits, and investor‑backed businesses through everything from day‑to‑day operations to audits, ERP rollouts, M&A, and IPO readiness.

Why this role is different
  • Work as the “outsourced accounting department” for multiple clients instead of just one company, giving you exposure to different industries, systems, and leadership teams.
  • Partner closely with CFOs and Controllers who understand situational complexity—preparing for audits, cleaning up historical financials, stabilizing failed ERP implementations, and building investor‑grade reporting.
  • Build a modern finance toolkit using platforms like Intacct, Net Suite, Quick Books, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, Xero, and more, plus related tools such as Bill, Expensify, Stripe, and Jirav.
What you’ll do
  • Lead month‑end close for assigned clients, including reconciliations, journal entries, variance analyses, and preparation of GAAP‑compliant, audit‑ready financial statements.
  • Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, cash management, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Maintain clean, standardized general ledgers across entities and help reconstruct historical financials when clients are preparing for audits, transactions, or IPO readiness.
  • Support time‑sensitive projects such as M&A due diligence, financial cleanup, and ERP implementations or “rescues” where systems are over budget or underdelivering.
  • Collaborate with CFOs and Controllers to design and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting frameworks that boards, investors, and lenders can rely on.
  • Adapt quickly to each client’s systems and workflows, recommending improvements and helping design scalable accounting and reporting models as they grow.
Who you’ll work with
  • Client Accounting professionals (bookkeepers, accountants, controllers, CPAs) who integrate directly into client environments to keep payables, receivables, payroll, and reporting running smoothly.
  • Fractional CFOs and practice leaders who bring situational and industry insight to complex scenarios like rapid post‑funding scaling, PE‑backed transformations, and cross‑border entity cleanups.
  • Colleagues with deep experience across SMBs, mid‑market companies, nonprofits, and private equity‑backed portfolio companies, all focused on delivering accurate, timely, scalable financials.
Ideal background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
  • 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including public accounting, outsourced accounting, or multi‑entity/multi‑client environments.
  • Strong command of U.S. GAAP, month‑end close, and preparation of audit‑ready financial statements.
  • Hands‑on experience with at least one major accounting platform (e.g., Intacct, Net Suite, Quick Books, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, Sage, Xero), with curiosity and aptitude to learn others.
  • Demonstrated success operating in fast‑paced, changing environments—such as high‑growth, investor‑backed, or transaction‑heavy companies.
  • Comfort juggling multiple clients, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Clear, confident communication skills—you can explain the “why” behind the numbers to founders, CEOs, boards, and non‑finance stakeholders.
What we’re looking for
  • A proactive problem‑solver who likes stepping into messy situations—cleanup work, incomplete records, ERP challenges—and bringing structure and clarity.
  • Someone who takes urgency seriously and can prioritize quickly when clients are preparing for an audit, transaction, or key board meeting.
  • A team player who enjoys collaborating with CFOs, Controllers, and peers, and who is excited about mentoring junior talent as the practice grows.
  • A growth mindset—eager to broaden technical skills, industry exposure,…
