Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to provide part-time accounting support for a Long-term Contract opportunity in Walnut Creek, California. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, advanced Excel capability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while communicating progress and issues clearly.

Responsibilities:

• Manage invoice processing, weekly check runs, and timely, accurate payments.
• Address vendor inquiries, resolve payment issues, and handle stop payments and positive pay exceptions.
• Maintain financial records, code expenses, and support accurate bookkeeping.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support finance operations, including check printing, online payments, tracking logs, and tenant outreach.
• Assist with quarterly investor distributions and payment processing.
• Support year-end accounting, including 1099 reporting, tax payments, and K-1 distribution.
• Utilize accounting and property management systems, preferably Entrata or Avid Xchange.
• Proactively communicate workload, priorities, and potential challenges.
