Brand Manager – Kinder's Premium Quality Seasonings & Sauces
Join Kinder’s as a Brand Manager and help drive sustainable growth across our portfolio of flavorful products. Reporting to the Director of Brand Management, you will partner with the EVP of Growth and cross‑functional teams to build an innovative, scalable product engine that delivers delicious, effortless solutions to consumers.
Key Responsibilities- Business Planning & Strategy – Identify untapped consumer opportunities, develop short and long‑term plans, and set objectives, strategies, and performance metrics.
- Category Expertise – Become the internal expert for your category through ongoing analysis of performance, trends, insights, and consumer behavior.
- Go‑to‑Market Optimization – Optimize assortment, pricing, and promotion strategies in response to evolving market dynamics.
- Product & Portfolio Management – Drive a holistic understanding of the portfolio, recommend innovation, renovation, activation, or rationalization, and build the product roadmap.
- P&L Ownership – Understand and manage the category P&L, and lead approved initiatives that generate top‑line and bottom‑line growth.
- Business Analysis – Deliver monthly operations meetings and quarterly reviews to provide visibility on performance.
- Marketing Planning – Recommend optimal demand investment mix and guide brand marketing efforts across creative, digital, and field experiences.
- Demand Generation – Partner with Sales to develop tactics that spur growth across retail channels.
- Cross‑Functional Partnership – Coordinate with Project Management and other functions to overcome executional hurdles and align on portfolio priorities.
- Stakeholder Communication – Share portfolio performance and initiatives with internal and external audiences.
- Education / Experience – Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred.
- Industry Experience – 5+ years in consumer brand or product management, with food and/or product innovation a plus.
- Strategic Thinking – Demonstrated ability to manage complex portfolios and develop data‑driven recommendations.
- Cross‑Functional Leadership – Proven experience collaborating with and leading diverse teams.
- Analytical Skills – Strong quantitative abilities and skill in using syndicated data (e.g., Circana, Numerator).
- Product Development – Familiar with the entire development cycle from ideation to commercialization.
- Business Builder – Owns and drives results, thrives in a dynamic, agile environment, and completes projects on time.
- Growth Mindset – Curious, eager to learn, and enthusiastic about leading and following in a fast‑moving team.
- Decision Maker – Comfortable making and saying ‘yes’ to impactful priorities.
The position is based in Walnut Creek, CA. We offer a hybrid work structure with 4 office days per week;
Fridays are flex days. Some travel may be required for customer meetings or company events.
The starting salary range is $130,000–$150,000 per year, adjusted for location, education, performance, and business needs.
