Primary ResponsibilitiesHDR Engineering seeks a Structural EIT/Inspector to join our National Infrastructure Inspection Team. The role involves performing inspections of dams, hydraulic structures, and bridges both locally and nationally, along with occasional office engineering tasks such as design, CAD work, and analysis. You will assist the lead inspector in inspections and report preparations.
In this role, you'll:- Participate in inspections of dams, hydraulic structures, and bridges
- Assist in preparing inspection reports and summaries
- Handle pre-inspection planning, including site walks, safety plans, rigging, rescue, and confined space entry plans
- Work independently and as part of a team to expand your engineering knowledge and skills
- Support hydraulic structure design and other disciplines through structural engineering techniques
- Perform other duties as needed
- Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- 0-2+ years’ experience in bridge/structural inspection and design
- Enthusiastic about becoming certified as a Society of Professional Rope Access Technician (SPRAT) and working at heights
- Willing to collaborate across disciplines in the office during inspection downtimes
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel, including overnight stays
- Physical ability to perform field inspections on various structures, including working at heights, confined spaces, and uneven surfaces
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in teams
- Exposure to environmental hazards such as temperature extremes, water, wildlife, and terrain
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE, or similar software
- Previous structural design experience is a plus

The salary range for this position is $75,548 - $116,150 annually, depending on experience and location.
