Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking a Mid Level Structural BIM Designer. This is a Senior-Level BIM designer position. The position requires comprehensive proficiency in 2D CAD software and a demonstrated knowledge of 3D design capabilities. This position also requires a good understanding of engineering drawing development in the area of water and wastewater facilities design and the associated infrastructure.

Job duties will also include the coordination of drawing production activities between all disciplines at the project level.

• Develop structural design layouts including cast-in-place and precast concrete, CMU, structural steel, and aluminum members in 3D applications and 2D drawings from sketches provided by engineers and senior design staff
• Assist in the preparation of structural details, estimates, and material lists with project engineer’s or project manager’s guidance
• Coordination of modeling and drawing production activities between all disciplines at the project level
• Provide quality checking of drafted products and conformance with modeling and drawing production standards including project specific CAD/BIM requirements, Generate 2D drawing views from 3D design models and develop into final contract drawings
• Provide basic CAD technical support for junior level staff
• Convert data between Micro Station and AutoCAD
• Other duties as assigned

• Minimum of 10 years of experience working in engineering design
• Software Expertise:
  Revit and Navisworks Manage
• MUST have Revit experience
• Full-time at the office, hybrid or remote depending on experience and references
• Locations:
  Phoenix, Arizona is highly preferred but open to sitting anywhere in the U.S. for the right candidate

• Experience in detail design of water and wastewater facilities and related infrastructure
• Associate degree in related technical field

An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
