Overview
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Permanent Tax Manager to join our dynamic team in the Mortgage industry in San Francisco, CA. This role focuses on managing all tax-related activities within our organization, including the preparation and review of income tax returns, tax planning, and compliance for HNWI, Trust & Estate and CPA.
Salary & LocationLocation:
San Francisco, CA
Base pay: $115,000 - $210,000 per year

- Oversee all tax‑related activities, including planning, compliance, and reporting.
- Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimize efficiency and compliance.
- Prepare and review complex income tax returns for HNWI.
- Provide expert advice on Trust & Estate tax matters.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
- Keep up‑to‑date with the latest tax laws and regulations.
- Manage and mitigate tax risks and liabilities.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to the tax team.
- Liaise with tax authorities and provide tax audit support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in tax management, preferably in the mortgage industry.
- In‑depth knowledge and understanding of HNWI, Trust & Estate.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent leadership and team‑management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
