Job Summary (Senior Storage Engineer):
Walnut Creek, CA

• Serve as a subject matter expert in storage engineering with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise storage solutions, focusing on HPE Nimble Storage and Cohesity platforms.

• Manage and optimize various storage systems including SAN, NAS, and DAS.

• Work extensively with storage protocols such as FC, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS/SMB, and Object Storage (S3).

• Support and maintain storage hardware from multiple vendors, including Net App, Dell EMC, Cohesity, and HPE.

• Integrate and manage cloud storage platforms (AWS S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud) and hybrid storage solutions.

• Utilize storage virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSAN, IBM SVC) for enhanced storage management.

• Conduct performance tuning and optimization for RAID configurations, SSD/HDD performance, IOPS, and latency.

• Implement and use capacity planning and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk or vendor-specific solutions).

• Ensure data security through encryption, access controls, and compliance with regulatory standards (HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS).

• Troubleshoot and resolve storage performance and system issues efficiently.

• Collaborate with Dev Ops, networking, and security teams to ensure robust storage operations.

• Participate in project management activities, including storage migrations, upgrades, and disaster recovery planning.
