Legal Office Manager – Walnut Creek/Greater East Bay
We’re seeking a Legal Office Manager to lead operations for our Walnut Creek/Greater East Bay office. This role ensures smooth day-to-day operations, team cohesion, policy compliance, and high-quality support for attorneys and staff. The ideal candidate is a confident, decisive leader with law firm management experience and strong communication skills. Local, in-office presence required.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily operations and regional oversight across multiple offices.
- Lead and mentor administrative, legal support, and office services staff (20+ direct/indirect reports).
- Develop and implement efficient workflows, policies, and best practices.
- Handle employee relations, performance reviews, conflict resolution, and staff meetings.
- Ensure compliance with firm policies, legal-industry standards, and employment regulations.
- Support budgeting, vendor management, purchasing, and facilities.
- Partner with leadership to align office goals with firm strategy and identify improvements.
- Collaborate with litigation teams for consistent service delivery.
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, workflow delegation, and staffing.
- Support initiatives like technology rollouts, hiring, and policy updates.
- 5+ years law firm management experience with supervisory responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to improve processes, enforce policies, and manage multiple offices.
- Comfortable managing long-tenured staff and sensitive personnel matters.
