General SummaryThe Professional Fitness Trainer provides evaluation of client status and delivers safe and professional exercise routines that are client-based to help clients achieve fitness goals. They are responsible for achieving personal revenue goals each month while providing the best customer service and hospitality to all members and guests.

Primary Job Functions- Must meet minimum private training sales and sessions per month and maintain positive client retention.
- Provide new member fitness consultations and evaluations.
- Develop individual exercise programs based upon client's abilities, health, and goals.
- Be on time for all scheduled appointments.
- Maintain accurate, current records on all client exercise programs and progress.
- Keep track of each client's training sessions and fee payments.
- Enforce all fitness center and club policies.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and marketing of innovative private and group PFT programs.
- Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of the fitness center.
- Accurately record each day work, the actual time worked and client sessions in the appropriate tracking system.
- Active participation in meetings and training programs. Attend club sponsored developmental or educational seminars and programs.
- If applicable, maintain at least one 20/20 Lifestyles client.
- Maintain valid trainer and CPR/AED certifications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education And Experience- ACSM-HFS or NSCA-CSCS (preferred), ACE-PT, NASM or acceptable national certification is required.
- 4-year degree in Exercise Science or related studies required (PRO Club candidates only).
- Acceptance into 20/20 Lifestyles certification program required, and successful completion of program required within first year of position (PRO Club candidates only).
- Current CPR & First Aid Certification required (Red Cross or American Heart Association).
- 1-2 years of experience in a health club environment preferred.
- Experience in marketing and promotions preferred.
- Nutritional education preferred.
- Sales and Marketing knowledge for promoting and selling services.
- Problem anticipation and deductive reasoning; ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Written and Oral comprehension and expression.
- Computer skills to manage records in Word, Excel and other required software.
- Well organized and detail oriented; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service attitude and abilities.

- Frequent interaction with clients; varied communication methods (in person, phone, email).

- Sitting and standing as needed; use of hands; lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
