Skypace, the tech division of Maxton Shipping Inc., is looking for an experienced Operations Manager. In this role, you’ll oversee daily operations, and ensure efficient, high-quality execution of international shipments through our digital logistics platform. Skypace is the tech division of Maxton Shipping Inc., a freight forwarder headquartered in California and represented worldwide. We launched the world’s first BCO-facing shipping platform that connects our branches, vendors, and customers in the same tech environment.

The platform enables the full cycle of freight execution from instant quoting and planning to managing shipments with complete process visibility and is directly integrated with top‑10 ocean carriers like MSC, Maersk, CMA CGM, COSCO, and Hapag‑Lloyd, operating across all major trade lanes.

Today, we support 150+ customers across 18 countries, handling significant freight volumes with speed, transparency, and support.

Now we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and optimize our Ocean Freight operations
. This role oversees the end‑to‑end execution of international ocean shipments, ensuring operational excellence, process efficiency, and high customer satisfaction through our digital logistics platform integrated with major carriers like MSC, Maersk, CMA CGM, COSCO, and Hapag‑Lloyd.

You’ll drive process improvements, and collaborate closely with internal pricing, sales, and technology teams to ensure seamless freight movement and client support across all trade lanes.

• Oversee and manage day‑to‑day ocean freight operations across multiple trade lanes.
• Optimize operational workflows through data‑driven analysis and automation within the Skypace platform;
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, carrier requirements, and company standards;
• Collaborate with pricing and sales teams to align operational capacity with business growth;
• Resolve escalations and exceptions, maintaining proactive communication with customers and carriers;
• Monitor KPIs related to service performance, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• You have 5+ years of experience in ocean freight forwarding, logistics operations, or supply chain management;
• You have prior experience in a leadership or team management role;
• You possess strong knowledge of international documentation, Incoterms, and carrier processes;
• You’re skilled in problem‑solving, communication, and operational optimization;
• You’re comfortable working in a fast‑paced, tech‑driven logistics environment;
• You’re familiar with TMS platforms, digital freight systems, and shipment tracking tools.
