DescriptionSpeech Com Inc is hiring a full-time special education teacher, with a moderate to severe services credential issued by CTC (California), to serve a school district in Walnut, CA.
Rate of Pay$55 - $62 per hour W2 (depending on experience)
Hours7 hours per day / 35 hours a week
Details- Will serve a special day class; caseload includes students grades TK through 2nd
- Will work with other service providers.

RequirementsResponsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students
- Develop individualized academic goals
- Utilize learning technology and assistive devices to enhance student learning
- Create a positive and inclusive environment for students
- Use effective behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors and promote positive social skills
- Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to ensure the success of each student
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Experience working with students with special needs in a classroom setting
- Knowledge of learning disabilities, developmental delays, and other special education needs
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies
- Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development for diverse learners
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students
