Part-Time## About Premier Academy Walnut Premier Academy Walnut is an education center serving students and families in Walnut and surrounding communities. We provide after-school academic support, small-group classes, 1-to-1 tutoring, AP subject support, test preparation, and college planning. Our team works closely with students and families to provide structured, personalized academic support in a professional and supportive learning environment.##

Position Overview Premier Academy Walnut is looking for part-time English teachers to teach group classes and/or 1-to-1 students. Our English students range from Grades 1–12, including students who may need support with reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, school coursework, and advanced/AP English. Teachers are not expected to teach every grade level. Student and class assignments will be based on each teacher's experience, strengths, and availability.

Curriculum and instructional materials are provided, so teachers can focus primarily on teaching and supporting student progress.## Responsibilities
* Teach English group classes and/or 1-to-1 students
* Work with assigned students from Grades 1–12 based on the teacher's experience and strengths
* Support reading comprehension
* Support writing and essay development
* Strengthen grammar and vocabulary
* Assist with school coursework when appropriate
* Provide test preparation when appropriate
* Provide AP English support only when assigned and qualified
* Identify student weaknesses and provide targeted instruction
* Provide feedback on student work
* Communicate student progress or concerns with the academic team when needed## Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or higher
* Strong English communication and writing skills
* Experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or working with students preferred
* Ability to explain concepts clearly
* Reliable and professional
* Able to maintain a consistent teaching schedule##

Preferred Qualifications
* Degree in English, Education, Linguistics, Literature, or a related field
* School or school-district experience
* Experience teaching elementary, middle school, high school, or AP English
* AP English experience for instructors interested in AP-level assignments## Schedule & Availability This is a part-time position. Teaching hours are based on student enrollment, subject demand, and instructor availability. Weekday afternoon/evening and weekend availability is preferred.##
