We provide after-school academic support, small-group classes, 1-to-1 tutoring, AP subject support, test preparation, and college planning. Our team works closely with students and families to provide structured, personalized academic support in a professional and supportive learning environment.##

Position Overview Premier Academy Walnut is looking for a part-time AP Statistics Teacher to provide primarily 1-to-1 instruction for high school students. Students may need support with their current AP Statistics course, assignments, tests, concept review, or AP exam preparation. Curriculum and instructional resources are provided. The teacher's primary responsibility is to explain concepts clearly, identify areas of weakness, and help students improve their understanding and performance.##

Responsibilities
* Support students with AP Statistics coursework, homework, quizzes, and unit tests
* Cover probability, data analysis, sampling, and experimental design
* Teach statistical inference, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, and regression
* Prepare students for AP-style multiple-choice questions and FRQs
* Support AP exam preparation
* Help students with calculator use where applicable
* Identify student weaknesses and provide targeted instruction## Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or higher
* Strong knowledge of the AP Statistics curriculum
* AP Statistics teaching or tutoring experience##

Preferred Qualifications
* Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, Education, or a related field
* AP Statistics teaching or tutoring experience strongly preferred
* School or school-district experience preferred
* Familiarity with the College Board AP Statistics curriculum
* Familiarity with AP Statistics FRQs and exam format
* Strong ability to explain statistical concepts clearly
* Reliable availability## Schedule & Availability This is a part-time position. Teaching hours are based on student enrollment, subject demand, and instructor availability. AP subject schedules generally depend on 1-to-1 student demand. Weekday afternoon/evening and weekend availability is preferred.##
