** Summary
* * The HDOS Catering Driver is responsible for safely transporting food, supplies, equipment, and team members to and from catering events while  supporting event setup, service, and breakdown. This position represents Hot Dog on a Stick in the community and is expected to deliver  dependable, friendly service while following all traffic laws, food-safety requirements, and HDOS policies. The Catering Driver must exemplify our  culture of Fast, Fresh and Friendly and help us STICK a SMILE on every guest's face.

** Job Responsibilities & Overview*
* • Safe Driving:
Safely operate company vehicles and follow all federal, state, and local traffic laws, parking rules, and company driving policies.  
• Vehicle Inspection:
Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections; promptly report damage, maintenance concerns, accidents, citations, or unsafe  conditions.  
• Loading & Securing:
Load, organize, and secure food, beverages, smallwares, equipment, and event supplies to prevent shifting, damage,  contamination, or temperature loss during transport.  
• Timely Delivery:
Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure on-time arrival, service, and return. Communicate delays or delivery concerns  immediately to the Catering Manager.  
• Food Safety:
Maintain required hot and cold holding temperatures and follow all food-handling, sanitation, and cross-contamination procedures during  loading, transport, service, and unloading.  
• Event Setup & Breakdown:
Assist with unloading, event setup, service stations, restocking, breakdown, and returning equipment and unused product to  the correct location.  
• Customer Service:
Communicate professionally with clients, guests, venue contacts, and team members; confirm delivery details and handle items with  care.  
• Vehicle Care:
Keep the vehicle interior, cargo area, and cab clean and orderly; refuel as directed and return keys, receipts, and required documentation  after each trip.  
• Team Support:
Assist with food preparation, cooking, serving, stocking, cleaning, cash handling, and other catering team member duties as assigned.  
• Documentation:
Accurately complete delivery logs, mileage records, temperature logs, checklists, receipts, and incident reports as required.## Qualifications
** Qualifications*
* • Must be at least 18 years of age.  
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.  
• Must successfully complete a DMV motor vehicle record/background check and maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with company  standards.  
• Must be eligible to drive a company vehicle under the company's automobile insurance requirements.  
• One year of customer service, delivery, restaurant, or catering experience preferred.  
• Current Food Handler Certificate, or ability to obtain one within the required timeframe.  
• Knowledge of safe driving, vehicle loading, and basic food-safety practices.  
• Strong communication, time-management, and organizational skills.  
• Ability to follow written directions, maps, delivery instructions, and assigned schedules.  
• Dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.  
• Positive, service-oriented attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.

** Physical Requirements*
* • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and work in and around a commercial kitchen, catering vehicle, and event environment for extended  periods.  
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with assistance when appropriate, and load or unload catering supplies and equipment.  
• Ability to enter and exit the vehicle repeatedly and safely operate the assigned vehicle in varying traffic and weather conditions.  
• Ability to work around heat, cooking equipment, cleaning products, and outdoor conditions while following required safety procedures.

** Schedule & Travel*
* • Must be available to work a flexible schedule based on catering needs, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.  
• Local and regional travel may be required. Shift length and travel time will vary by event location and business needs.
