Overview
League School for Autism is an award-winning, year-round program dedicated to the education of children on the Autism Spectrum. Our team approach to education creates a collaborative, supportive and open environment within our community. We are currently seeking a SCHOOL NURSE for our residential program in Walpole. The year-round, weekly schedule is Tuesday through Saturday 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Annual salary starts at $87,500.
Position Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Massachusetts; DESE School Nurse license a plus.
- Consideration given to a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (at a negotiated rate) with a current Massachusetts certification and work experience with autistic population.
- Minimum of two years’ nursing experience, which must include general nursing, supervision and staff training.
- CPR, First Aid, and Safety Care certifications.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Completion of an orientation program on school health services through the Department of Public Health.
Nurse Manager
Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe School Nurse is responsible for the overall monitoring of the health and safety of the students and for coordinating the management of staff and daily activities in meeting these needs. Member of the Safety Committee.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Google suite, and SNAP Nursing software.
