Job Description

Jersey Mike's Subs has been making amazing subs since 1956 in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. We are committed to community involvement, personal and professional growth for our employees, and delivering a “Sub Above” experience with a great big smile.

Responsibilities:

  • Coach staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Produce high‑quality food that meets Jersey Mike’s standards.
  • Deliver the Jersey Mike's experience to every customer.
  • Handle cash and enforce financial policies.
  • Follow the Learning Management System Training Program.
  • Develop others for career growth.
  • Enforce all policies and procedures.
  • Participate in local and national marketing initiatives.
  • Build sales and increase revenue.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation practices.
  • Be certified in all four restaurant positions.
  • Communicate effectively with management.
  • Maintain a sense of urgency.

Expectations:

  • Move or transport up to 50 lbs without assistance unless a medical notation applies.
  • Work 38‑40 hours per week.
  • Have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Communicate any issues to the GM/AGM/DM.
  • Lead by example: quality food, customer interaction, and daily appearance in a clean, fitted uniform.

Create food consistent with Jersey Mike’s high‑quality standards:

  • Maintain a noticeably cleaner restaurant than others.
  • Work in a fast‑paced, team‑driven atmosphere.
  • Multitask with a sense of urgency.
  • Interface with customers to provide an exceptional experience.
  • Understand accountability and integrity.
  • Possess Key Holder responsibilities.
  • Perform all tasks related to opening and closing the store.
  • Know how to bake bread and perform all prep.
  • Manage and lead a crew of 2‑5 people.
  • Be proficient in slicing.

Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • 1 year experience in QSR preferred.
  • Must be 18 years or older to operate the slicer.
  • Serv Safe certification – Food Handler.
  • Reliable transportation.
