Salary: Grade 5, Scale Point 9–17 (£23,194 - £26,846 pro-rata)
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks including 5 INSET days)

the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Behaviour Support Assistant to join our dedicated Behaviour Team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the management of our newly renovated Behaviour Centre and play a key role in promoting a positive and inclusive school environment. The successful candidate will work closely with students, staff, and families to implement behaviour systems and interventions that foster resilience, emotional intelligence, and academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Deputy Headteacher in implementing the school’s behaviour policy.
  • Help coordinate the centralised detention system.
  • Assist in the daily operations of the Internal Exclusion Room.
  • Monitor and analyse behaviour data using Class Charts.
  • Provide in-class support to students and teachers.
  • Collaborate with the Behaviour and Pastoral Teams to support student wellbeing.
  • Attend relevant team meetings and liaise with parents/carers as needed.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Experience working with children with emotional, behavioural, or social difficulties.
  • Prior experience in an educational setting.
  • Strong data interpretation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
  • Confident ICT user.
  • Empathetic, self-motivated, and resilient under pressure.
