SEMH Class Teacher - Key Stage 3 - Walsall
Are you a dedicated teacher who thrives on making a difference for young people with additional needs? This welcoming SEMH school in Walsall is seeking an experienced and compassionate SEMH Class Teacher to lead a small class of 4-7 Key Stage 3 students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, moderate learning difficulties, and challenging behaviours.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a qualified teacher, from either a primary or secondary background, who is confident delivering lessons across the curriculum. As an SEMH Class Teacher, you will create engaging and inclusive learning experiences that help students develop both academically and emotionally. You will be supported by a skilled team of Teaching Assistants and a leadership team that truly values staff wellbeing and professional development.
This role is not suitable for an ECT and requires QTS.
- Teaching a small class of Key Stage 3 students with SEMH and moderate learning needs.
- Delivering a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to individual abilities and interests.
- Managing behaviour effectively and promoting positive engagement in learning.
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants and support staff to ensure consistent, high-quality support.
- Building trusting relationships with students, parents, and external professionals.
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment.
- Working in a supportive SEMH school with an experienced and approachable leadership team.
