We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for experienced Fire and Security engineers looking to transition into a rewarding role as an Tutor / Learner Skills Coach at our Walsall Training Centre.

This is your chance to share your valuable industry experience with the next generation of engineers and play a key role in delivering commercial and industry‑recognised training to support upskilling across the wider Fire and Security sector.

We provide comprehensive training to help you transition into this rewarding role. • Deliver engaging, high‑quality training to apprentices and commercial learners, combining classroom, practical, and online delivery.

• Deliver regulated qualifications and technical training programmes aligned with industry standards.

• Provide guidance, feedback, and support to help learners achieve their goals.

• Foster an engaging learning environment while maintaining compliance with Government funding rules, Ofsted, and awarding body requirements.

• Represent Skills for Security professionally when delivering commercial training to external clients and partners.

Experienced Fire & Security engineers with:

• Strong practical experience in Fire & Security Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance.

• The ability to demonstrate and teach core industry skills with confidence.

• A minimum of 3 years' “on the tools” experience.

• A willingness to complete fully‑funded teaching qualifications.

• Flexibility to travel and occasionally stay overnight (fully funded).

• Industry qualifications (FIA, Fire Qual, Milestone Advanced, etc.).

• Experience supervising or teaching apprentices.

• Great presentation and communication skills.

• A willingness to work towards an accredited qualification e.g. Level 3 Award in Education, higher or equivalent.
