Cover Supervisor

Pay Rate: £90-£130 (dependent on experience)

Are you looking to begin your career in education? or are you looking to further develop the skills within a secondary school setting?

We are looking for confident and motivated Cover Supervisors to join our partner secondary schools across the Walsall and Wolverhampton area. This role is well suited to graduates, aspiring teachers and individuals with experience working with young people who want to gain meaningful experience in a classroom setting.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-prepared lessons, ensuring students stay focused and engaged throughout the session. You will help maintain a positive and productive learning environment and play a key part in the smooth running of the school day. The role is varied, fast-paced and highly rewarding for someone who enjoys working with young people and supporting their progress.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects
  • Ensure students remain on task and engaged in their learning
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school expectations
  • Provide simple feedback to teaching staff regarding lesson progress and behaviour
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive school environment
  • Assist with additional duties around the school when required
Role Requirements:
  • A degree or relevant experience working with young people
  • Strong communication skills and a confident classroom presence
  • Ability to manage behaviour calmly and effectively
  • Adaptable, reliable and willing to take on new challenges
  • Previous school experience is an advantage but not essential
  • A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
