Cover Supervisor - 35 hours per week, term time only – one-year fixed term appointment.

11 - Salary range £25,583-£28,142 pa (pro rata part time, term time only salary range £20,815 - £22,897 gross pa)

The Governing Body are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to the post of Cover Supervisor.

St Thomas More Catholic School is secondary school educating children aged 11–18. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain on task and follow the work set by the teacher. This role is ideal for a postgraduate considering a career in teaching, as the school is keen to offer support with teacher training for the right candidate.

The successful appointe should possess:

• Degree level qualification (desirable)
• GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics, or equivalent
• Good communication skills – written and oral
• Ability to use negotiating and persuasive skills
• Team player
