Salary: Grade 7 (£29,114 to £33,315)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent, Term Time Only
Responsible to: Headteacher / Senior Leadership Team
Start Date: April 2026
The Peak Performance (Pastoral) Lead is a middle leadership role, pivotal in driving student welfare, engagement, personal development, and academic performance across Key Stages 4 and 5. The postholder leads one half of the school, manages tutor teams, coordinates student support services, and implements strategies for attendance, behaviour, and safeguarding. They work closely with another Peak Performance Lead and Aspire Coach to ensure consistency and excellence in pastoral provision.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support student welfare, personal development, and academic progress.
- Manage tutor teams and coordinate pastoral care and support services.
- Monitor attendance, behaviour, and safeguarding, implementing interventions as needed.
- Oversee student transitions, induction, and enrichment activities.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe school culture.
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above).
- Relevant qualification or substantial experience in pastoral support, youth work, education, or related field.
- Experience working with secondary-age students, including those with SEMH, anxiety, attendance, or safeguarding needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and organisational ability.
