Lunchtime Supervisor- Barr

We are working on behalf of a local school in the Great Barr area to recruit a reliable and caring Lunchtime Supervisor to support pupils during the lunchtime period. This is a short, daily role and is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and can help maintain a safe, positive and well‑organised environment.

Daily shifts of no longer than 2 hours.

• Supervising pupils in the dining hall, playground and other designated areas
• Supporting pupils with safe and appropriate behaviour during lunch and playtime
• Encouraging positive social interaction and good conduct
• Dealing with minor incidents and reporting any concerns to senior staff
• Ensuring pupil's safety and wellbeing at all times
• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures

• Experience working with children in a school or similar setting (desirable)
• A calm, friendly and approachable manner
• The ability to manage behaviour positively and confidently
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a wider school team
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare

This is a school‑based role and is subject to safer recruitment checks.

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable, or a willingness to obtain one.
