Essential Qualifications &
Experience:
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above).
- Relevant qualification or substantial experience in pastoral support, youth work, education, or related field.
- Experience working with secondary-age students, including those with SEMH, anxiety, attendance, or safeguarding needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and organisational ability.
Salary:
Grade 7 (£29,114 to £33,315).
Contract:
Full‑Time, Permanent, Term Time Only. Responsible to:
Headteacher / Senior Leadership Team.
Start Date:
April 2026.
The Peak Performance (Pastoral) Lead is a middle leadership role, pivotal in driving student welfare, engagement, personal development, and academic performance across Key Stages 4 and 5. The postholder leads one half of the school, manages tutor teams, coordinates student support services, and implements strategies for attendance, behaviour, and safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and support student welfare, personal development, and academic progress.
- Manage tutor teams and coordinate pastoral care and support services.
- Monitor attendance, behaviour, and safeguarding, implementing interventions as needed.
- Oversee student transitions, induction, and enrichment activities.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe school culture.
