Position: Peak Performance (Pastoral) Lead

Essential Qualifications &

Experience:

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above).
  • Relevant qualification or substantial experience in pastoral support, youth work, education, or related field.
  • Experience working with secondary-age students, including those with SEMH, anxiety, attendance, or safeguarding needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and organisational ability.

Grade 7 (£29,114 to £33,315).

Contract:

Full‑Time, Permanent, Term Time Only. Responsible to:
Headteacher / Senior Leadership Team.

Start Date:

April 2026.

Purpose

The Peak Performance (Pastoral) Lead is a middle leadership role, pivotal in driving student welfare, engagement, personal development, and academic performance across Key Stages 4 and 5. The postholder leads one half of the school, manages tutor teams, coordinates student support services, and implements strategies for attendance, behaviour, and safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support student welfare, personal development, and academic progress.
  • Manage tutor teams and coordinate pastoral care and support services.
  • Monitor attendance, behaviour, and safeguarding, implementing interventions as needed.
  • Oversee student transitions, induction, and enrichment activities.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe school culture.
