We are working on behalf of a local school in the Walsall area to recruit a reliable and caring Lunchtime Supervisor to support pupils during the lunchtime period.
Working HoursDaily shifts of no longer than 2 hours.
Key Responsibilities- Supervising pupils in the dining hall, playground and other designated areas
- Supporting pupils with safe and appropriate behaviour during lunch and playtime
- Encouraging positive social interaction and good conduct
- Dealing with minor incidents and reporting any concerns to senior staff
- Ensuring pupils' safety and well‑being at all times
- Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
- Experience working with children in a school or similar setting (desirable)
- A calm, friendly and approachable manner
- The ability to manage behaviour positively and confidently
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a wider school team
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare
This is a school‑based role and is subject to safer recruitment checks.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable, or a willingness to obtain one.
