Year 2 Teacher

Hays Education are working with a welcoming primary school in the Willenhall area who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their team from March. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, continuing through to the end of the academic year.

Your New Role:

• You will take full responsibility for the Year 2 class, including:
• Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum
• Making use of allocated PPA time provided each week
• Using strong phonics knowledge, ideally with Read Write Inc. (RWI) training, to support early reading development
• Working closely with the class Teaching Assistant, particularly to adjust and tailor activities for pupils with EHCPs
• Attending meetings, including team meetings, parents' evenings and any required reviews
• Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within KS1, ideally Year 2
• Strong phonics knowledge; RWI training is highly desirable.
• Confidence in differentiating for a range of learning needs
• Ability to work collaboratively with support staff and the wider school team
• A commitment to pupils' progress, wellbeing, and successful outcomes
