Y6 Teacher

Hays Education are working with a supportive primary school in the Dudley area who are seeking an experienced Year 6 Teacher to join them from March. This is a full‑time position running until the end of the academic year.

• Planning, preparing and delivering high quality lessons in line with the Year 6 curriculum and focusing heavily on SATS preparation, including stretch activities, intervention groups, and mock exams.
• Supporting pupils' progress and confidence as they work towards their assessments.
• Differentiating effectively, as the class includes a small number of SEN pupils.
• Working closely with support staff to meet all pupils’ needs.
• Attending meetings, including team meetings, reviews and parents' evenings.
• Creating a positive, motivating learning environment that encourages high achievement.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous experience teaching in Year 6 and strong understanding of KS2 SATs.
• Proven ability to raise attainment and deliver targeted interventions.
• Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation.
• Confidence in supporting SEN pupils at differing stages of development.
• Commitment, resilience and a passion for helping pupils succeed in their final year of primary school.
