Walsall College is seeking an inspiring educator to design engaging courses, deliver high-quality teaching, and provide personalised support that helps every learner succeed. In this role, you’ll monitor progress, prepare students for assessments, and champion their personal and academic development. You’ll play a key part in creating an inclusive, positive learning environment and delivering the College’s vision to equip students and apprentices with the skills and confidence they need to thrive.

Walsall College takes part in the Targeted Retention Incentive (TRI) scheme, a Department for Education initiative that provides financial incentives of up to £6,000 to eligible further education (FE) teachers working in priority subject areas. Eligible teachers must be within the first five years of their FE teaching career and teach specific courses in areas such as construction, chemistry, computing and digital, early years, engineering and manufacturing, maths, and physics.

Payments range from £2,000 to £6,000 depending on teaching hours and the provider’s profile, with higher amounts available for institutions serving greater proportions of disadvantaged learners.

This post may be eligible for the Targeted Retention Incentive, subject to meeting the scheme’s eligibility criteria.
