About the role

Are you an experienced and confident HLTA still looking for work in September? A friendly and supportive one-form entry Primary School in Bloxwich is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team from May through to the end of the academic year in July. This is a part-time HLTA position, covering classes across KS1 and KS2, offering valuable experience across all primary age groups.

There is no planning required for this role, making it a great opportunity for those looking to maintain a healthy work/life balance while gaining varied classroom experience.

• Delivering pre-planned lessons across KS1 and KS2 in the absence of the class teacher
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively and promoting a positive learning environment
• Supporting pupils’ learning and engagement across a variety of subjects
• Adapting teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs
• Working closely with teaching staff to ensure consistency and continuity across classes
• Providing feedback on pupil progress and classroom activities

• HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience
• Previous experience covering classes within a primary school setting
• Strong behaviour management skills and confidence leading a class
• A flexible and adaptable approach to working across all primary year groups
• A proactive and positive attitude towards supporting learning

• Competitive Salary – £19,500 – £23,400 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
