Job Overview

A well-resourced Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Dudley is seeking a Design Technology Teacher with a specialism in Food Technology and/or Resistant Materials, starting September 2026 on a full-time, long-term contract. The role will involve teaching KS3 and KS4 Design Technology, delivering engaging practical lessons in Food Technology, and supporting the Eduqas Level 1 & 2 Hospitality & Catering curriculum.

• Plan and deliver practical and theory lessons in Food Technology and Resistant Materials.
• Maintain safe workshop and kitchen environments.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback.
• Support pupils in developing creativity, technical skills, and confidence.

• Hold QTS (ECTs welcome to apply).
• Experience teaching Food Technology and/or Resistant Materials at secondary level.
• Confidence delivering Hospitality & Catering qualifications at KS4.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Passion for practical learning and student engagement.
