Youth Co‑ordinator — Children's Services — Skills & Employment
Rate – £18.35 Paye / £24.56 Umbrella per hour
About the RoleWe’re looking for a proactive and passionate Youth Co‑ordinator to help shape and deliver opportunities for young people aged 14‑29. This is an exciting role focused on connecting young people with education, training and employment pathways, while working collaboratively with partners across the public, private and voluntary sectors. You'll play a key role in mapping and improving the local youth offer, engaging directly with young people, and creating clear progression routes into apprenticeships, work experience and jobs.
Key Responsibilities- Map and develop the local and regional youth offer, identifying gaps and opportunities
- Engage with young people to understand their needs and support their progression into positive destinations
- Build strong partnerships with schools, employers, DWP, training providers and community organisations
- Develop employer links to create work experience, placements and apprenticeship opportunities
- Lead outreach, engagement and promotional activity to raise awareness of youth programmes
- Design and support innovative youth pathways and interventions
- Monitor outcomes, track progress and report on programme impact
- Support the development of a central youth offer portal and improve service accessibility
- Experience delivering skills, employment or youth-focused programmes in a partnership environment
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to manage projects, analyse data and report outcomes effectively
- Confident communicator with excellent organisational and presentation skills
- Knowledge of funding, programme monitoring and local authority processes (desirable)
- Degree‑level education or equivalent experience

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Travel across the borough is essential. DBS check required.
