About the role:

We are working in partnership with a welcoming and well‑resourced secondary school in Walsall who are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified PE Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner who is committed to inspiring students and promoting a love of sport, health and physical activity.

The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will be joining a supportive department with a strong focus on student engagement, achievement and personal development.

  • Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Promote a positive attitude towards sport, fitness and healthy lifestyles
  • Teach a range of physical activities in line with the national curriculum
  • Assess, track and report on student progress effectively
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Support extra‑curricular sport and enrichment activities
  • Encourage teamwork, discipline and resilience in all students
  • Manage classroom and practical lesson behaviour effectively
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the PE department and wider school
  • Contribute to school sports events, fixtures and clubs
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Experience teaching PE in UK secondary schools
  • Strong subject knowledge across a range of sports and physical activities
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Satisfactory references covering relevant experience
  • Full safeguarding checks completed prior to placement
