Job Title:

Nursery Key Worker – Level 3

St John's CE Primary School, Walsall

32.5 hours per week, term time only

To commence September 2026

£28,598 - £31,022 pro-rata salary, approximately £21,606 - £23,438 per annum

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated practitioner to lead in our Little Saints provision for 2‑year‑olds, part of our school nursery. This new provision will launch in September 2026, and the successful applicant will work closely with the EYFS Phase Leader and the Senior Leadership Team to help set up and shape the provision from the ground up.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day running of the provision, delivering high‑quality sessions, and supporting team members through observation and guidance.

Qualifications and Experience
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in childcare (essential)
  • Post‑qualified experience working with children aged 0–11 years
  • Training in safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid
  • A thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Knowledge of OFSTED standards (essential)
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines
  • Understanding of Health and Safety legislation
