About the role
Brownhills Ormiston Academy is seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic Careers Advisor to inspire students, help them explore future possibilities, and support them in achieving high aspirations. The Advisor will work closely with students, staff, and external partners to meet the academy’s educational and career standards.
Responsibilities- Guide students in setting future goals and exploring education, training, and career options.
- Collaborate with employers and external partners to deliver relevant career information and opportunities.
- Ensure the academy consistently meets the Gatsby Benchmarks and National Quality Careers Mark standards.
- Assess students’ strengths and areas for development, facilitating the acquisition of employer‑valued skills.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all student interactions.
- Support the Pastoral and quality of education teams as a key member of the academy.
- Strong communication and relational skills with students and colleagues.
- Experience in careers guidance or a related educational role.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to manage confidential information.
- Highly organised with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Commitment, energy, and a drive to contribute to positive learning experiences.
