The Role As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional support with behaviour, emotional regulation, engagement and social development. You will play a key role in helping students access education, develop confidence and achieve positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting students with SEMH needs on a one-to-one and small group basis Building strong, trusting relationships with young people Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing Assisting teachers in delivering engaging learning activities Supporting students during challenging situations and helping them regulate emotions effectively Acting as a positive role model and mentor throughout the school day Contributing to behaviour support strategies and pastoral interventions About the School This specialist setting provides education for students who require additional support with social, emotional and mental health needs.

The Ideal Candidate Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, behavioural needs or additional support needs Background in education, youth work, support work, coaching, mentoring, care or similar sectors is desirable Strong communication and relationship-building skills Calm, patient and resilient approach Ability to maintain professional boundaries while building rapport Passion for helping young people overcome challenges and achieve positive outcomes
