Job Summary

Maths Teacher – Walsall –

Start Date:

September 2026 – Pay rate: £160‑£200 per day (dependent on experience). This temporary position is with Teaching Personnel in partnership with a welcoming and supportive school. The role supports learners from Key Stage 3 through to A‑Level.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging Maths support across KS3, KS4 and A‑Level.
  • Support students with exam preparation, revision strategies and subject understanding.
  • Plan and deliver structured learning sessions tailored to student needs.
  • Build positive, professional relationships with students to encourage progress and confidence.
  • Act as a positive role model within the classroom and wider school environment.
  • Identify gaps in learning and provide targeted support to help students achieve their goals.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure consistent academic progress.

  • Confident in delivering Maths content up to A‑Level standard.
  • Passionate about education and supporting young people.
  • Approachable, positive, and able to build strong relationships with students.

Additional Requirements

All applicants must have the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. The school is seeking someone with a solid understanding of the Maths curriculum, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate young people. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is not essential.

The role is temporary but may become permanent. All pay rates quoted include 12.07 % statutory holiday pay.

Safeguarding checks in accordance with DfE statutory guidance “Keeping Children Safe in Education” will be undertaken. All candidates must undergo a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check; full assistance to be provided. Teaching Personnel also offers free child protection and prevent duty training to all registered candidates.
