A secondary school in Walsall is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join their department from September 2026 on a full‑time supply basis.
The successful candidate will teach Music across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that develop students' practical performance skills, compositional techniques, listening abilities, and appreciation of a broad range of musical styles and genres. You will inspire students to explore music through performance, composition, and critical listening while supporting those working towards their GCSE Music qualification.
As a full‑time member of the department, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high‑quality lessons, assessing student progress, and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where creativity and confidence can flourish. You may also have the opportunity to contribute to concerts, performances, school productions, and wider extracurricular music activities.
Candidate Profile- Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification; ECTs are welcome to apply.
- Have experience teaching Music at KS3 and KS4.
- Be confident delivering both practical and theoretical elements of the Music curriculum.
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- Be committed to supporting student progress and achievement.
- Have a passion for music education and inspiring young people through the performing arts.
