We're looking for a confident and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in the Walsall area from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking the lead, building positive relationships with young people, and making a genuine difference in the classroom every day.
This role is perfect for an experienced HLTA or a highly skilled Teaching Assistant with an equivalent qualification who is ready to take on greater responsibility.
What You'll Be Doing
No two days are the same. You'll play a key role in supporting teaching and learning by:
Delivering lessons and supervising classes in the absence of the teacher.
Supporting students both in the classroom and through small-group interventions.
Working alongside teaching staff to help raise achievement and engagement.
Encouraging confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
Helping to create an inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
Holds a HLTA qualification or an equivalent Level 4 qualification.
Has experience working with secondary school students.
Is confident leading a class and supporting learning across different subjects.
Builds strong relationships with students and colleagues.
Is adaptable, proactive and passionate about education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
